Homestead Filing Deadline

The cutoff date for late filing in 2026 is October 15. If a homestead is declared after the October 15 date, the property will be classified as non-homestead. The property owner must then pay the higher of the two education rates, a penalty, and any additional property tax and interest due. Tax | Homestead Declaration
