Bid for Material Removal
The Town of Washington VT will be accepting bids for the purchase and removal of approximately 2,800 yards of material removed from the Hands Mill Dam. The material is in two (2) different sites in Washington, at 2526 Lowery Road and at Woodchuck Hollow across from Fairground Road.
The contractor will be responsible for loading and trucking material and grading and smoothing the site after removal. The material is sandy and lightly gravely.
Sealed bids can be delivered or mailed to the Washington Town Clerk at 2895 VT RT 110 Washington, VT 05675 or emailed to the Washington Town Clerk at Washingtontownclerk@gmail.com by Tuesday April 1, 2025 by a 1:00pm deadline.
Bids will be opened shortly after in the business section of the regularly scheduled
select board meeting on Tuesday April 1, 2025.
The Selectboard reserves the right to reject any and all bids, wholly or in part, to negotiate with any and all bidders as needed, and to award the contract to the bidder deemed to best serve the interests of the town, not necessarily the lowest bidder. In the event of conflicts of interest by multiple Selectboard members preventing a quorum, a panel of non-conflictedindividuals will be appointed to open the bids.
