Ballot Box Now Open

The ballot box outside the town hall on the porch is now opened for depositing the General Election ballots. Once a ballot is retrieved by an election official, two officials will then check to be sure the voter’s name is on the ballot envelope so that each person may be checked off on the town’s voter list. No signed ballot envelopes are opened until after the election closes on November 3, 7 p.m., and once opened the ballots are co-mingled with others so that no one can determine how any specific person voted.
