Questions about your voter registration status?

The first thing to do is to visit the Vermont Voter Portal at https://vote.vermont.gov/. Did the portal not recognize your information? Please make sure you entered your name exactly as it appears on your license.

Did it still not recognize you?  Your information may still not match how it appears in the system. Here are three more tips to try:

1)      Did you enter your driver’s license number? It’s possible you registered with the last 4 digits of your social security number instead. Remove your driver’s license number. Enter the last 4 digits of your social security number.

2)      Did you enter the last 4 digits of your social security number? It’s possible you registered with your driver’s license number instead. Remove the last 4 digits of your social security number. Enter your driver’s license number.

3)      Enter your middle initial and/or middle name in the first name field after your first name. For example, Jane Victoria Smith’s voter record might have “V” or “Victoria” in the first name field rather than the middle name field. Or maybe you entered your first name in last name field and vice versa.

Do you think you are registered but none of those tips worked?  Did you register to vote before date-of-birth was required?  Reach out to the clerk’s office. We can look you up in the voter checklist. We can then add information or correct errors in your record.
